The winegrowers of Saint Vincent brotherhood celebrated their winter chapter on January 21rst, 2006 January 27, 2006
Faithful to the tradition since 1475, the wine-growers of Visan « Saint Vincent » brotherhood honoured their patron saint by celebrating the winter chapter of their brotherhood on Saturday, January 21rst, 2006. At 5.30 p.m, several jurys composed of professional wine-tasters and wine-lovers elected the two best cuvées which are going to become 2004 « Saint Vincent » cuvée : 12 to 18 months ageing into oak casks in the beautiful « Saint Vincent » cellar, and 2005 « Cuvée du Marot » : 15 000 magnums cellared into Visan castle cellars during one year and taken out on the day of the summer chapter of « Saint Vincent » brotherhood, the second Saturday of July. After the wine-tasting, the ceremony of introduction took place around 7 p.m and was followed with a dancing-dinner. During the meal, Bernard Sorbier, the author of the book "Des mots dans mon vin"(words in my wine, staged by Gérard Vantaggioli, gave a performance of his show which was well appreciated by the audience.
